Daily Announcements

It is only October and already we have students that have read 25 books! We had 3 students come close to reading 100 books last year. Maybe we will have some that will read more than 100 this year!
Reading is such an important part of their education. They read in every content area. There are word problems in math, ingredient lists and directions for experiments in science, plus the textbooks themselves for each subject. We want the students to enjoy reading and to become lifelong readers.
Here are our first 25 book readers: Mekyah Horry-4th grade, Da'yannah Megget-4th grade, Destiny Washington-4th grade, Shatabia Simmons-2nd grade, German Ventura-2nd grade, Kadejha Washington-5th grade, Skyler Matrisciani-5th grade, Brittany Langston-4th grade, Isabel Garcia-2nd grade, Michael Venegas-5th grade
 Panthers Football
We are ready for a wonderful football season that begins on Wednesday, September 16 at Baptist Hill. Last year, the Panthers were Runner's Up - this year we are aiming for the Championship!!!!
The football schedule has been added to the school calendar on the right side of the screen. Come and cheer on our students! We have about 15 players on the team from grades 3-5. They are coached by Joe Garcia, last year's Volunteer of the Year and the Basketball Coach. And don't forget our 15 cheerleaders from grades 1-6! Admission is only $1 for everyone over 5 years of age.
If you would like to be more than a spectator, you could assist with the coaching staff as a team mom or dad. They also need volunteers to assist on game days in the concession stand, at the gate, and on the chain crew. If you are interested in helping out, contact Brian Todd at 412-4622.
 School Breakfast & Lunch
Get a head start on the new school year! We have free/reduced lunch applications in our office. Come in, pick one up, fill it out, bring it back, and we will take care of the rest. We hope to have every child ready to eat! Begin early!!
