WE HAVE READ 25 BOOKS!!!!

It is only October and already we have students that have read 25 books!  We had 3 students come close to reading 100 books last year.  Maybe we will have some that will read more than 100 this year!

Reading is such an important part of their education.  They read in every content area.  There are word problems in math, ingredient lists and directions for experiments in science, plus the textbooks themselves for each subject.  We want the students to enjoy reading and to become lifelong readers.

Here are our first 25 book readers:  Mekyah Horry-4th grade, Da'yannah Megget-4th grade, Destiny Washington-4th grade, Shatabia Simmons-2nd grade, German Ventura-2nd grade, Kadejha Washington-5th grade, Skyler Matrisciani-5th grade, Brittany Langston-4th grade, Isabel Garcia-2nd grade, Michael Venegas-5th grade, Corbin Haydel-4th, Elihu Rivera-3rd grade, Dre'Shawn Brown-4th grade, Jamiya Meggett-2nd grade, Manuel Ventura-2nd grade, Koshawn Watson-4th grade, Tyrese Washington-1st grade
